WHY THE SIZE MATTERS
Little hands need room to learn.
Colouring inside the lines is hard when the lines are the size of a fingernail.
Our round mats are 800mm diameter, roughly six A4 pages of drawing space, so the ones still learning how to colour get room to actually practise, instead of a page that's smaller than their own hand, and there's still room left for the sibling who wanders over, for the pencils, for the Play-Doh, for whatever they've decided it's turning into next.
Big enough for four of them.

MEET THE FOUNDER BEHIND THE MATS
Wonder isn't something children learn. It's something we protect.
As a designer and mum of two, I saw first-hand how one simple colouring mat could captivate a room full of children, bring families together, and create moments of calm that felt increasingly rare. I wanted to create something that kept little hands busy, big imaginations growing, and reminded families that the best moments happen away from a screen.
What started with one colouring mat has since grown into Wonderium World.
A collection designed to inspire creativity, encourage connection, and create meaningful moments that children genuinely enjoy.
The questions we get asked most.
Yes, with washable markers and a wet wipe/damp cloth. Give it a wipe (and a dry) after they've finished and it comes back ready for next time. Roll it up, put it away, get it back out tomorrow.
Not at the moment, although it's something we're working towards. Crayola washable markers are what we recommend for our material, and most washable markers will work. Have a read of the care guide that comes with your mat before the first use, it covers what to use and what to keep well away, and following it is what keeps the mat wiping clean for years.
Yes we can offer priority orders. Please add a note on your order and ensure to email us at hello@wonderiumworld.com.au for urgent orders.
Please note during peak times, we try our absolute best to ship everything out as priority to avoid any disappointments however it is out of our control if there are delays in postage due to the shipping company, so please ensure you allow plenty of time for your order.
Every mat is made to order with your child's name on it, so please allow 7 - 10 business days for us to make it, plus postage. For busy seasons, allow up to 14 business days. Shipping is a flat $17.95 anywhere in Australia.
We're not able to send proofs, simply because of the volume of orders coming through. Your child's name goes on exactly as you type it at checkout, in the font and placement shown on the mat you've chosen, so what you type is what we print. Just double check the spelling before you hit order and you're all set. If something looks off afterwards, email us straight away and we'll always try our best to catch it before it goes to print.
Washable markers, always. They're the whole reason it wipes clean and starts again. We send care instructions with every mat so you know exactly what to use and what to keep well away from it, and honestly the list of what to keep away is short. Crayons, pencils and permanent markers aren't made to come off, so save those for paper.
Oh no, we're so sorry! Whilst our quality control is tight, we promise we are still humans over here (no AI generating your designs). Please email us straight away at hello@wonderiumworld.com.au with your order number and a photo of your mat. If the name or colour doesn't match what came through on your order, that one's on us and we'll get a replacement out to you as soon as we can.
They sure can! On the grass, on the deck, at the park, wherever you end up. Even pop it up inside the cubby house! Give it a wipe when you're done and roll it back up.
Oh no! We carefully quality-check every Wonderium mat before it leaves us, but on the rare occasion your mat arrives damaged in transit, please let us know.
Email hello@wonderiumworld.com.au within 5 business days of receiving your order, along with clear photos of the damage and your order number, and our team will be happy to help.
Damage reported outside of this 5-business-day window may not be eligible for a replacement and will be assessed at Wonderium World’s discretion.
Recommended aged 3+ and up. Little ones love the space to scribble without staying inside anything, and older kids go straight for the detail. It grows with them, which is why so many of ours are still in use four years later!

Unfortunately we do not offer a return/refund on items that are custom made/personalised, however we will replace a product that has arrived damaged or broken. Please refer to our returns page for more information.
Right now the round mats come in one size, 800mm, which we made big on purpose. There's more coming though, and we are working through new designs. Get on the wonder list and you'll know before anyone else!
